ஸ்மார்ட் போன் தயாரிப்பதில் ஆப்பிள் ஒரு முன்னணி நிறுவனம் அகும். உலக அளவில் ஆவலுடன் எதிர்பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்த ஐபோன் 5 அண்மையில் வெளியானது. இது பல புதிய சிறப்பம்சங்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. அலுமினியம் மற்றும் கிளாஸ் கொண்டு அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.இதன் பரிமாணம் 4.8 அங்குல நீளம், 2.3 அங்குல அகலம் மற்றும் 0.3 அங்குல தடிமன் ஆக உள்ளது. இதில் நானோ சிம் கார்ட் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும். திரை, ஆப்பிள் நிறுவனத்தின் சிறப்புமிகு ரெடினா டிஸ்பிளேயினைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. இதன் எடை 112 கிராம் ஆகும்.

In iphone 5 the back side is surrounded by aluminum construction. It consist of Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating on front.It measures 4.87 x 2.31 x 0.3 inches (124 x 59 x 7.6mm), making it about a third of an inch (nearly 1cm) taller than before version. It is available in two colours. They are Black & Slate and White & Silver.
The iSight camera here is basically unchanged from the 4S.It has an 8-megapixel, backside-illuminated sensor shooting through a five-element, f/2.4 lens. The bigger screen, has a larger shutter release button, which is slightly easier to tap by big thumbs.Apple has also greatly improved the iPhone's wireless connectivity options with the addition of LTE. GSM model supports GSM/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA+, DC-HSDPA s, nor the CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B support in the other (CDMA Model).
